We today received an email from Durham County Council advising schools not to open until 15th June 2020. This is because recent advice from SAGE was not clear on how safe children and adults in school would be at this time. As you know, we have been working hard to implement rigorous plans to do our very best to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission in school, however, we must follow the guidance of our Local Authority and remain closed to most pupils until 15th June. We will of course remain open for children of critical workers and those who are vulnerable, as we have done throughout this whole period. Texts have been sent to parents and you are able to reply to these. If you need to speak to someone about this, please ring school on Friday and someone will be there to talk to you.
