Head Teacher's Welcome

Ludworth Primary School is a small, happy and caring school set within a rural part of County Durham, approximately 5 miles from both Durham city centre and Peterlee in opposite directions.

Our most recent OFSTED inspection was in November 2023, which confirmed that this school continues to be a 'GOOD' school.

I am exceptionally proud to be Head Teacher at Ludworth Primary School after being Deputy Head Teacher here for a number of years prior. Ludworth Primary School is a vibrant and successful school, but most importantly it is a happy place to be. We have fantastic children, dedicated hard-working staff and very supportive parents and governors who come together to form our school community.

Since September 2021, Ludworth Primary School has been part of the Limestone Learning Federation and we are now teamed in a federation arrangement with Ferryhill Station Primary School. Within our federation, it is a core belief that every child deserves the best education and all staff have the highest expectations for every child who attends our schools.

Our website offers only an introduction to the educational experiences we offer children at Ludworth. Prospective parents and pupils are invited to visit school and discuss aspects of school life in more detail. Please telephone the School Office to arrange a suitable time for a visit.

Thank you
